Renting a coffee machine for your theatre

Selling drinks before a performance or in the interval during a performance can be a very lucrative business and a good coffee system is part of a successful offer.  We have placed a number of machines into West End of London theatres and by and large they have been very successful.

One machine that has been a particular success in this role is the Kenco Singles machine.  It’s easy to use, simple to clean and with it’s small footprint fits nicely into a crowded bar counter.  Typically speciality coffees such as Lattes and cappuccinos are not necessary in this scenario but a good quality filter coffee is.  The Kenco Singles machine is perfect for this job.  It will produce large quantities of 7oz filter coffee time and time again.  As each capsule is completely sealed you produce each cup fresh and so you never have to worry about stale coffee.

An alternative idea that we have used in certain circumstances is a filter system such as the Bunn bulk brew coffee machines.  These are exceptionally robust, produce very large quantities of filter coffee and keep it hot for a period of time.  One potential issue with these particular peices of equipment is that there can be wastage as coffee is thrown away and also if coffee is brewed and kept heated for a long period of time it can go stale.  The cost of the coffee when measured per cup is less than the Kenco Singles drinks but the equipment is much, much more expensive.

Deciding which machine is the appropriate one for you will depend on your budget, space available and volume of coffee that needs to be dispensed.  If you are dispensing a very large quantity of coffee, have a reasonable amount of space to put it in and can live with the upfront cost of the machine then the Bunn equipment is a good option.  If these criteria do not apply then the Kenco Singles machhine may be the answer.  For more in
