As you might imagine we have the pick of coffee machines in our office. We use it as a bit of a testing ground in order to evaluate new office coffee machines or simply equipment that we haven’t used before. Over the past 3 years we have had a lot of success with the Korinto bean to cup coffee machine. We have been delighted with the quality of drink that it produces and the reliability and ease of use. As you may know the Korinto is the middle machine in the N & W “K” range of bean to cup coffee machines. In the last year we have also placed a number of the larger Kobalto bean to cup machines and have also been impressed with these in a variety of locations including canteens, offices and golf clubs. For no particular reason that we can fathon we have never had a big call for the smallest machine in the range, the Koro. So we thought we would trial it in our office in order to get more of a feel for it and I have to admit to being very impressed.
The Koro has two canisters: one for coffee beans and one for a whitener (we highly recommend Milfresh as there really is no point going for a high quality bean to cup coffee machine and using a low grade whitener – it simply ruins the whole offering). From these two ingredients it can produce espresso, americano, cafe au lait, cappuccino and latte as well as offering a hot water option. It is also attractively styled with a contemporary feel to it.
When deciding which of the “K” range of equipment to opt for there are two main things to consider. One is simply the capacity of the machine. the Koro is a small machine with a capacity to match. It will comfortably cope with 40 – 50 drinks per day. However if you ask it to produce 200 drinks per day it will not cope.
The second point to consider is the drinks range that the machines will produce. The Koro will only produce cofee based drinks where both the Korinto and Kobalto offer hot chocolate and mocha. Indeed, at the top end, the Kobalto has a soluble coffee canister that can be used to offer a decaffeinated option on all coffee drinks other than the espresso.
All three machines are fantastic office coffee machines, it’s just a case of identifying which is most suitable for you. If you would like some help doing this then please call the office and we would be happy to assist you. Take it from me, the coffee out of the Koro is fantastic and would not be out of place in a high street coffee shop.
